Yard Drainage Solutions

Yard drainage before
Problem
Yard drainage after
Solution

Yard drainage solutions are designed to redirect water from problem areas where water may pool or collect and drainage is poor. Most leaky basements and structural damage to foundations are generally attributed to an oversaturation of soil that could have been prevented with some type of simple yard drainage. Yard drainage could be as simple as gutter downspout extensions to elaborate systems that tie into your city /village’s storm sewers. As a general rule of thumb, it is a great idea to have your downspouts run at least 10 feet away from your foundation. It is also a good idea to avoid water discharging onto or near any pavement, as it can create an unsafe condition and possibly result in injury.
