Staying sharp to bring you the best service
Posted Nov 26, 2025 in Concrete Raising
Family Waterproofing is always looking for ways to improve our service. That’s why we attended HMI University every year, a 3‑day course on concrete raising. Family has been providing concrete raising services since our company started, but there are constantly new methods and tips being developed that we can learn to help perfect our process so we can offer the best solutions to our customers.
Concrete raising is an excellent alternative to a complete tear out and replacement of your driveway, patio, sidewalk, or front steps. It saves you time and money. Uneven concrete isn’t just a cosmetic issue. It can be a tripping hazard and cause drainage problems impacting your foundation which can lead to basement seepage. The raising process is fast and simple – holes are strategically drilled into the concrete that needs to be raised and polyurethane foam is pumped in the holes to level out the displacement. Once level, the holes are repaired and the concrete is ready to use in 15 minutes. We use polyurethane due to its longevity and lower cost compared to other products.
If your driveway or patio slabs start to sink, don’t replace it, call on Family to raise it.
